Description

The short stories reading comprehension passages with "Wh" Questions are great for beginning readers. The time-saving, print-and-go, and digital passages are differentiated in two ways (text only and text with visuals) for your special education students and students who benefit from visual support. The short reading passages highlight student life and are themed around children in and out of the classroom for real-life connections to the text. These are highly structured passages for students who require lots of repetition in their learning materials in order to master a skill.

Many of the digital reading activities with "WH" questions are self-checking and self-correcting for multiple practices and remote learning opportunities. The high-interest reading passages have five questions listed under the stories on one page.

Features:

The worksheets come in two versions: The first version is a full reading passage that covers questions such as, who, what, where, and when. These are designed for more fluent readers working on their comprehension skills.

The second version answers questions about who and what. These align with Essential Elements and are the bridge to the broader questions from the Common Core Standard.

There are 5 multiple-choice questions for both versions, making these worksheets ideal for data collection. Modifying teaching materials for data collection, especially in reading, can be very challenging. With these short reading passages, you can work with 4/5 trials/opportunities to calculate your 80% accuracy for your data sheet when tracking "WH" questions.
