Comprehension roles are great to help students with (you guessed it) comprehension. These roles can be used with ANY text. I teach these rules at the beginning of the year and every Monday split students into groups to read a text and assign each member of the group one of the roles!
It's a great way for students to play an active role in their learning and dive deeper into reading!
