HOW I USE THE SCRIPTS

I print, laminate, hole punch, and add to a binder ring. I gradually release the scripts alongside instruction. Throughout the year students practice current skills and review what they need. I provide seasonal books, books that cover current skills, and leveled readers. Students have the choice to practice what they need and upload their response to a digital portfolio (i.e. Class Dojo, Seesaw, etc.)

HOW STUDENTS USE THE SCRIPTS

The students will choose a book to read. Next, they will choose a script that matches their genre of book. This is why scripts are released alongside instruction. Then, they will use sticky notes to tab their talking points for the script. After that, they will practice their script with a partner. Last but not least, they will record their comprehension and upload to their digital portfolio!

This product provides great evidence for student comprehension across reading levels and genres. I hope it provides your students with the language they need to share their thinking and you with evidence of learning.
