I created this reading tracker to help keep records by doing a quick 1-minute check-in with my students daily. Each day, I would pull one student aside at a time to check to see how they were doing on their reading growth, which can help with IEP goal tracking. These were kept in a binder with their name on them.

There is a rating scale for the following:

• Reading fluency
• Reading expression

Words missed is a section that helps stop the gap and noted words students need to work on. I would have students create index cards for the words they missed and have them learn them throughout the week for building an increased word bank.
