I HATED having students read and have parents sign a reading log, because in a Title One school not every parent is available to sign. This solves my problem!! Student read and answer the question each night, reading and thinking about their reading. LOVE IT!!

I do not like to give homework, but a lot of my parents were asking for reading homework, so I had students read 20-30 minutes a night and answer one of the questions in this journal. I love how there are a mix of skills to keep students thinking about these things as they are reading at home.

This was a nice resource but did not work for me. Difficult for me to hold students accountable due to lack of time to assess.
