Description
This worksheet is a reading response page for completed books. It can be used individually or can be copied and created in sets.
The page is intended to be "open ended" for different types of texts. The page is a mix of reading strategies. I teach each strategy before giving to students in sets of 20 in a folder. I then use this folder to interact with students on the page, in conferences and in strategy groups. It helps me and the students keep track of what we have discussed and where we are still working. (This version is marked for summary help.) It is a great tool for parent conferences and student conferring to look at growth and areas of need. Even if I can't meet with each student after every book they know I have seen the work they have done and each week they flip to their page to read and respond to my responses! (Some week I may prompt them for more information or I might just make it a praise week and really focus on their strengths!)
