Description

This is a quick glance format to record student levels while conducting the reading running records. This format includes a spot to put each student’s name with several boxes next to it for information on multiple books tested. The title of the book and Fiction/Nonfiction is written at the top of each box. There is then a spot to put accuracy, fluency, and comprehension information. Also, each box has an ‘H,’ ‘I,’ and ‘E’ to circle to record if the book is too hard, independent or too easy. I also circle the box with the independent reading level to make it even easier to reference.

Also included is a ‘cheat sheet’ to help you easily identify if a level is independent, instructional, or too hard. This page gives all important information needed for identifying a level in a quick, easy, one page format.

I originally made these formats so I could quickly see where a student was at. They are also very helpful to put all the pertinent information in one spot to see where the student is struggling.
