This product is a great tool to teach reading strategies throughout the year! The common core inspired strategies in this unit include schema, inferring, visualizing, predicting, making connections, questioning, and synthesizing.
The unit includes:
-Teacher directed information
-1-3 activities per strategy
-Worksheet or graphic organizer for each strategy
-Guided leveled task cards for most of the strategies
-Alien space theme activities that go along with the strategies
*The leveled cards for teachers are great while guiding the students to dig deeper into the strategy. These levels will help students be able to evaluate what they're reading.*
