Real-Life Math Volume 1

The quickest way to get your students engaged in math in a deep and meaningful way is to use authentic instruction that relates math to the real world. Preferably the real world math should involve real world interests that students actually care about and that's what this volume of lessons does. -Algebra in the NFL (pull data from ESPN and use the quarterback rating formula to determine mathematically if a quarterback is better than another)
-Percent of Change in Bubble Gum (students chew gum and blow bubbles to find out by what percent of increase one gum is at blowing bubbles than the other gum)
-Probability of Rock/Paper/Scissors (students play rock paper scissors and analyze the probability of winning)
