Description
This worksheet presents 5 different real-world situations that can be represented by a linear equation. The worksheet is written with scaffolding questions and tables. Two of the problems ask for graphing of the situation. Most of the situations ask the student to create an equation to represent the situation. Thoughtful questions are asked for all of the problems.
By completing the worksheet, the student should be able to recognize real-life linear functions more easily and see that, indeed, life presents many examples of linear functions. The worksheet may be completed individually, with partners, or started with the whole class and ending with the students working on it individually or with partners.

Extremely happy with this resource. At this time of year there seems to be fewer and fewer minutes of teaching and more distractions (awards, concerts, etc.). This not only saved time, but helped me maintain my sanity. LOL
I am glad this helped your students and YOU!
Great resource to give students real world examples of linear functions.
Great resource.
great
This was a great collection of problems for my students to practice applying linear functions to real-world problems. I will continue to use it in the future as we keep practicing linear functions to reinforce this skill.
I am so happy to hear that this product helped you and your students!
Great tool to use in my study skills classes for review.
Thanks!
Good resource.
