Description

Recharge and Write is a cooperative learning strategy that works well in many subject areas to foster higher level thinking and discussion, and in this video Laura Candler explains how to use it for math problem solving. The strategy is quite simple, yet it's extremely powerful due to the structure and accountability built into the activity. All students on the team are given a copy of the same math problem worksheet, and they alternate between discussing strategies for solving the word problems and then writing their own solutions and explanations.

Recharge and Write About Math is a terrific strategy to use with the Daily Math Puzzler worksheets because they are designed with four math problems on each page, and they have plenty of space for writing open-ended responses. Click on the links below to preview all four levels of the program as well as the Math Problem Solving Bundle (formerly the Daily Math Puzzlers Bundle).

• Daily Math Puzzlers Level B

This is a great idea! I tried to download the free sheets you discussed, however it tells me "Sorry, the page you were looking for in this blog does not exist." Is this just an error or have you taken the link down on your blog?
