The Recorder Resource Kit 1 is a beginning recorder method that has helped thousands of students learn to play the recorder. It contains everything the teacher needs to teach a first-year recorder program: a teacher’s guide, games, practice bugs, note-name mad minutes, assessment rubrics, piano/guitar chord symbols, Orff accompaniments, composition worksheets, quizzes, recorder care, and recorder note-name flashcards. The kit also includes student pages in Standard Notation AND in KidsNote Notation for you to copy for your students.
Students will learn how to care for the recorder as they study basic music theory concepts and practice using the included fingering chart. There are 38 songs in the book, including some duets and rounds, carefully sequenced so students will succeed from the very first lesson. Students love playing along with the included accompaniment tracks, and practicing at home tends to be more successful during their practice time. Throughout the lessons, they also learn about famous composers and have the opportunity to play their themes.
