Our Rectangle Partition lesson plan teaches students that rectangles of the same size can be broken up or partitioned.  During this lesson, students are asked to work with a partner to partition rectangles into different numbers of rows and columns and answer questions about them. Students are also asked to use lesson vocabulary to properly describe the partitioned rectangles.

At the end of the lesson, students will be able to partition a rectangle into rows and columns.
