This card layout has helped many of my students see the necessary patterns for reducing fractions. Print these cards on colored paper or card stock and cut between the cards. Students often benefit from laying out the card set twice over two consecutive weeks. The first week they are usually finding patterns. One the second, they are solidifying their understanding.
