Description
Are you looking for a unique way to review reference materials? These color-by-code printables are a fun, quick, and easy way to practice or assess these skills. Big kids love to color too!
Each page has 6 or 7 fill-in-the-blank or multiple-choice questions for students to answer. I like to do this as a whole group and make sure everyone has answered correctly before they start to color. This lets you know what might need re-teaching or reviewing. Answer keys are included!
The types of reference materials covered in this packet include:
- Dictionary
- Thesaurus
- Almanac
- Atlas
- Encyclopedia
- Online Encyclopedia
- Internet
You'll get lots of use with this packet. The theme is generic so they can be used any time of the year. Print them to have on hand when you need a little something extra to reinforce what you've taught about using reference materials.
Use them in centers, for independent practice, whole group lessons, and early finishers. These are perfect for subs, classrooms, and library classes.
These printables are ready to print and use. No prep work is needed. They are exceptionally useful on days when a librarian finds out he/she will be traveling to the classrooms for the day!
