I give this reference sheet to my students for naming ionic compounds, acids and molecular compounds. It has Roman numerals 1-8, Greek prefixes 1-10, oxyanion patterns, acid patterns, anion flow chart, naming flow chart and a general polyatomic ions table. The goal is not to have students to memorize content, but to recognize and apply the correct pattern to name a chemical compound.
