Description

Reflecting on growth, character, and learning is important for our students! These Reflection Records are year-long reflection journals your students will use to reflect on each month! By the end of the year, they will be able to look back on their progress, and see all they've learned and done!

INSIDE THIS RESOURCE:

+ 14 Reflection Pages - one for each month of the year, one for back-to-school, and one for end-of-school, each page has four reflection journal prompts

+ 14 Intriguing Illustration Pages (more on this below!)

+ Cover Pages - I have included one for each: 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th

*EACH MONTH students write their answers to the four reflection questions on specific Reflection Page. They reflect on: kindness towards others, growth mindset, what they've learned, and school in general.

*OPTIONAL ART INCLUSION: The Intriguing Illustration Pages can be used as a "Doodle Spot", Directed Drawing papers, or a place where you can staple in their favorite art project from the month.

*I HIGHLY ENCOURAGE class discussions before and after students do their writing! Start by discussing each question as a class, and end with partner sharing!

*The BEST WAY this works is if you mark a certain day to do this each month on the calendar i.e. the last Friday of the month. That way there is consistency, and students learn to expect it!

*No matter WHERE IN THE WORLD you are, you can use this!! Each month's reflections are not centered around holidays or seasons, except for December! This resource is very UNIVERSAL: make it useful for YOU and your students!! :)

*P.S.: There's a FREEBIE in the Preview!! The Back-to-School Reflections page (and Intriguing Illustration for BTS) is FREE for you to try out with your students! YAY!

A great resource to have students reflect on their learning and growing throughout the year. It made a nice memory book to take home at the end of the year. I liked that on some of the harder questions there were options in case they didn't do something during the past month that it asked how they could do it more the next month.

LOVE this!!! Great questions and so excited to see it all come together in June. I will be collecting it each month from them after reflecting and then give it to them during the last week of school.
