Description
These notes introduce what a reflection is, how to reflect a figure on the coordinate plane, and how to write the rule for a reflection on the coordinate plane. These notes only use the x and y axes as the line of reflection. In the example problems, the students create a reflection themselves, identify a reflection and its rule, and process what they learned with a couple of higher-level thinking questions at the end. Students and teachers love how easy these notes are to follow and understand.
These notes get straight to the point of the skill being taught, which I have found is imperative for the attention span of middle schoolers! They are also a great tool for students to refer back to.
