A video with over 29 minutes of instruction will guide students in gaining an understanding of prerequisite vocabulary, making predictions, gathering actual data, and creating a conclusion.
Vocabulary covered:
- Density
- Relative Density
This is actually two labs in one. The first lab guides students in testing whether solid objects will float or sink in water and why. The second lab applies the same particle principles to liquids by creating a density column.
A choice is given to either have students record answers on a regular 8.5"x11" lab sheet or a lab booklet that can be folded and glued into a science journal.
