Have kiddos take turns coming up with an idea for play and following another's lead - this addresses "thinking" about another's idea. Moreover, establishing jobs during play helps them "imagine" different perspectives while simuletaneously targeting language skills! For example, what would a DJ do and say? What would the chef do and say? Address cognitive flexibility in play to take turns being "flexible" making the plan. For example, maybe our friend picks a song we don't like but it's more important to keep them feeling good and having happy thoughts about us than getting stuck on what we want!
