Description

The Reproductive System and Puberty are part of the Upper Elementary curriculum. The topics covered in this slide presentation include feelings and emotions, the scientific purpose and biology of the Reproductive System, and the physical changes associated with puberty. The curriculum is age-appropriate, medically accurate, does not promote a specific religion, encourages family communication, provides students information on recognizing and avoiding sexual abuse, develops knowledge and skills and promotes healthy attitudes toward development, self-esteem, and body image. The follow-up to this lesson is for the children to talk to their families about the lesson. This can be projected on a screen like a slide show or printed on large poster paper.
