Description

This Reproductive System Activity is full of Pop-ups -- Flaps -- Pockets -- Awesomeness!

What are Human Body Files?

Human Body Files is an interactive learning experience that enables students to turn serious content into a colorful collection of graphic notes, diagrams, foldables, cards, pop-ups, and more!

The process of creating this unique file is a valuable activity that helps students review important topics and build their metacognitive skills.

What will students be doing?

Your students will take an ordinary manila file folder and create an extraordinary Reproductive System File. Using what they’ve heard, read, and experienced in your classroom they’ll add their own personal style to bring the included Human Body Files templates, pop-ups, and foldables to LIFE!

As they organize information, color and label diagrams, sequence events, add their own notes and drawings, and collaborate with their peers, they are able to visualize main ideas and make connections between concepts.

And, the result? A creative, reflective portfolio of all the information you want them to know about the Reproductive system!

Take a look at the PREVIEW to see examples and be sure to watch the video!

NGSSHS-LS1-2
Develop and use a model to illustrate the hierarchical organization of interacting systems that provide specific functions within multicellular organisms. Emphasis is on functions at the organism system level such as nutrient uptake, water delivery, and organism movement in response to neural stimuli. An example of an interacting system could be an artery depending on the proper function of elastic tissue and smooth muscle to regulate and deliver the proper amount of blood within the circulatory system. Assessment does not include interactions and functions at the molecular or chemical reaction level.
NGSSHS-LS1-3
Plan and conduct an investigation to provide evidence that feedback mechanisms maintain homeostasis. Examples of investigations could include heart rate response to exercise, stomate response to moisture and temperature, and root development in response to water levels. Assessment does not include the cellular processes involved in the feedback mechanism.
