In this Repurposed Material / Found Object Art Project, students explore how everyday objects can be transformed into expressive works of art. Rather than following a step-by-step tutorial, students use creativity and problem-solving skills to design a unique artwork made from recycled or found materials.

The presentation includes everything teachers need to introduce the project and guide students through independent or small-group creation. It features a big idea statement, “I can” standards-based rubric, essential details for success, common mistakes to avoid, and an artist research list to spark inspiration. Multiple slides of example projects showcase the wide variety of directions students can take.
