Thank you so much for this guide. I have just created my first product and I was so pleased with it until I saw that the end result when printed out looked fuzzy. I did not know that I needed to change the ppi. I am so grateful to you for writing this guide as I can now create my next product using the correct setting. It has saved me a lot of heartache!

Wow, this was SOOO helpful! The only thing I would have added is to actually show how to set the setting at 300 dpi vs. 72 dpi. I am a clipart newbie and use Inkscape and I have zero clue how to do that! (^_^)
I'm glad you got something out of it.
I didn't include how to change as I've noticed people use about 8 different programs to create products on TpT.
I just downloaded Inkscape, for you to change the DPI:
- Go to EDIT menu
- Click PREFERENCES at the bottom
- In the pop up box, scroll down to the menu 'BITMAPS'
- Change the EXPORT, CREATE and IMPORT dpi settings to 300.

This is excellent! Very clear and concise, easy to understand and not overwhelming with too much detail. :-) I really liked the illustrations--they were very helpful in showing the difference between 72dpi and 300dpi. Thank you very much!
