Description
Restating questions can be a tricky skill for students. They have to read the question, understand the question, figure out how to restate it in a way that makes sense and is a complete sentence, and then answer the question. Not to mention reading the text and rereading it to find the answer.
That’s a lot of cognitive demand on students.
However, it is so important that students are able to restate questions. This shows that they understand what is being asked of them and ensures they answer the question correctly and completely.
To help, we need to provide ample practice with the skill of restating questions. This bundle of activities for differing purposes and types of practice will help!
