This rhetorical questions worksheet is perfect as a minilesson, practice, or formative assessment for high school students learning to identify and analyze rhetorical devices.
This 2-page worksheet defines and gives examples of a rhetorical question within an argument with example analysis. Then, students practice identifying rhetorical questions in two short practice passages and practice analyzing the impact of them on the argument. The activity on the second page asks students to utilize rhetorical questions in a brief writing prompt.
