What's Included:

Center #1. Teacher led center.

  • Activity 1: Say a number and have students place the same number of robots down in the tens frame. This is great for counting.
  • Activity 2: Start with activity 1 then have students add robots or subtract robots.
  • Activity 3: Have students place robots down on their tens frames in different patterns and have students partner to subitize each other's work.

Center #2. Independent student center.

  • Activity: Students pick a card and then place the number of robots down on the page.

Center #3. Independent student center.

  • Activity: Students count the number of robots and then use a clothespin or clip to identify the correct number.

Center #4. Independent student center with worksheet.

  • Activity: Students count the number of robots for each card. The cards correspond to a worksheet where students will write how many blue robots and how many white robots there are. Then they will add them up together. An answer key is provided as well as a black and white worksheet version.
