Description
This booklet is a complete unit of work which takes about 5 weeks to complete, if you see them twice a week and they work collaboratively in groups of 2. Students can use this booklet to study robots, as it uses the Design Process to Investigate, Define, Design, Produce, Implement, Collaborate, Manage and Evaluate a problem which can be solved with robots. It works best if you print it out and hand it out each lesson for completion. Best used after introducing robots with videos of robots, such as those from Boston Dynamics, and after they have completed Introduction to robots worksheet and completed some mBots test experiments worksheet. (It was designed for use with mBots but would work with whatever devices you have.) This unit does not include the building of the robots, which if you have several classes using the one set becomes very time consuming to assemble and disassemble each lesson. Students do need to know what algorithms and flowcharts are. Comes with a marking key.
