Description

Students of all ages love comics. In this project, students will create a comic strip that demonstrates their understanding of the rock cycle. After this lesson, students will have their own unique model of the rock cycle. The comics look great on a bulletin board or inside a binder or science interactive notebook.

NGSS Alignment: MS-ESS2-1. Develop a model to describe the cycling of Earth's materials and the flow of energy that drives this process.

This was a great alternative assignment with various levels of differentiation which gave students of varying learning levels choices. Several of my students needed the extra time and understanding for the rock cycle and they enjoyed this project.
