Description

This worksheet is a log for rock observations, great for learning about attributes of rocks and classifying rocks into igneous, metamorphic, and sedimentary.

You could use this with any set of rocks you have, including fossils. Collect rocks from around your school or neighborhood, or use classroom sets of rocks and minerals.

Sheet has a table for 5 rock observations, plus an extra page with more tables if you want to do 10 or 15 rock observations.

Includes word bank with adjectives for describing rocks.

Use alongside my other fill-in worksheet title "Types of Rocks" if you want a longer lesson or a lesson to precede this one.
