Description
Print these easy prep roll-and-write sheets, pick up a $1 pack of blank cubes, and you are set with a go-to activity to pull out for small groups or literacy centers for the rest of the school year!
Students roll the die, then record the result on their paper. Keep playing until your paper is full! To prep, just write your chosen content on the dice cubes, print your choice of themed roll and write mat, and set out some fun writing utensils. I use a permanent marker to write the focus letters for the month on my dice, and I also create numeral dice that match the numbers we've learned so far. Check out the photos above to see a few ideas!
Roll and Write Mats have quickly become a new favorite in my classroom! The familiarity of the directions coupled with the novelty of new themes, dice content. and types of writing utensils keeps my students eagerly coming back for more each time!
I hope you and your students enjoy them too!
