Description

For a fun, quick and engaging way to practice skip counting, get students to complete a Roll & Write Activity.

Students use a ten sided dice to create a starting number (which can be changed according to ability) and then skip count up by 2, 3, 5 or 10 to complete the number sequence.

About this Resource

This resource has been developed to accommodate for the range of students found in any primary classroom. It allows teachers to differentiate their content without have to create and deliver multiple lessons and/or sets of instructions, as each activity is easy to adapt according to the needs of students.

I used it with my second grade students, we used it for counting by 10s starting at random numbers. Example, students rolled a dice and whatever number it landed on that is the number they started counting from. They seemed to like it. Thank you.
