Rooted in Reading April is here and jam-packed full of great resources for your students! In April your students will celebrate Earth Day, Baseball Season, National Poetry Month and more through reading quality literature and completing engaging activities in reading, writing, and grammar. This unit has fun and engaging activities that are appropriate for 2nd grade and most 3rd grade students!

***Old Elm Speaks is organized differently than other Rooted in Reading units in the past so that we can focus on reading, analyzing, and writing poetry while learning about the poetic devices. Vocabulary and Grammar are wrapped together into Poetic Devices where many activities are offered so that your students understand the devices as well as complete meaningful activities to go along with those skills.
