This is a Google Slides presentation over rounding and estimation to the nearest 10 and nearest 100. It includes teaching/review slides, practice questions with answers, word problems, recording sheet & key, and quiz & key.

Teaching Slides:

The teaching slides go over why learning to round is important/useful and 3 different rounding strategies:

1. Number lines (with midpoint)

2. Hill/Rollercoaster

3. Underlining/Circling Place Values (& mnemonic chant)

Practice Slides:

There are 12 practice questions, and the answers/illustrations appear on the next click. These include 4 "challenge" questions where the students are asked to round a 1-digit or 3-digit number to the nearest 10.

Word Problems (slides 16-35):

These 20 estimation word problems cover rounding to the nearest 10, rounding to the nearest 100, adding, and subtracting. They can be printed 4 slides per page to use as task cards, if desired. There is also a recording sheet & answer key that can be printed (slides 36-37).

Quiz & Key (slides 38-39):
At the end is short 10-question assessment and answer key. Again it covers rounding to the nearest 10 & 100, as well as, estimation word problems that require students to add and subtract. The quiz could be completed virtually (there are text boxes for students to type in), but you would want to delete the answer key slide if this was the case. The other method is to print slide 38 full page for students to write on and show their work. :)
