Practicing rounding concepts with multi-digit whole numbers can be engaging and fun using Rally Coach! During this cooperative learning activity, partners will get the chance to "coach" each other while rounding multi-digit whole numbers. This allows students to work together and verbalize their understanding of numbers, place value, and rounding. They'll also need to read the directions in each problem set in order to know what place they need to round to. Finally, they’ll need to explain to their partner what they need to do in order to answer the question or command and justify their answer. This holds both students accountable for their answers.

Included are:
18 problems up to the hundred millions—Students will need to round anywhere from the hundred millions to the tens.
18 problems to the hundred thousands-this page has the same formatting as the description above, but the numbers only go as high as the hundred thousands. This way, if your students aren’t ready for the millions yet, you can use these two pages instead.
Answer key, teacher directions, and suggestions are included.
