This rounding basketball game will help your students practice rounding whole numbers up to the ten thousands place. To play, students will round the whole numbers on each basketball and "shoot" them into the correct basket. There are materials for a whole class game, a small group activity, and a NO PREP digital version. Download the preview for more info!

Whole Class Game Materials:

✅ 6 basketball goals labeled 10,000; 15,000; 20,000; 25,000; 30,000; 35,000

✅ 72 basketballs labeled with whole numbers to be rounded (12 for each hoop)

Small Group Activity Materials:

✅ 1 mat with all 6 basketball goals

✅ 6 sets of 12 mini basketballs (give 1 set to each student)

Digital Version- Boom Cards:

✅ 25 self-checking questions

Extras:

✅ Black and white version

✅ Editable version to customize with any skill

My students enjoy this game! It took us a bit to understand rounding, but once they got it, they rocked it! We played this game in small groups. Once they were confident and doing well, I put it as a Math Game choice. It's the top game in my class right now! I printed on color paper in Thunder colors to support our team!
