Have you ever wanted an easier way to grade that monstrous pile? Have you heard of rubrics but aren't sure the easiest way to implement? Look no further! :)
Through my masters program, I established a set of rubrics that I've refined and fine-tuned to the ones I use today. These rubrics have cut my grading time down considerably...I know! It seems to good to be true! I grade based on the seven traits of writing and have compiled for you a set of rubrics that range from individual to group projects. In this rubric set, you will find:
1) 5-paragraph descriptive essay rubric
2) Volcano power point pair presentation rubric
3) Fraction art project rubric
4) Group persuasive commercial project rubric
5) Historical fiction book report speech rubric
If you're interested in using rubrics or haven't been happy with the ones you've used, try mine. Please provide feedback on how they've worked for you as I am always trying to make them more user friendly. Both parents and students have expressed their satisfaction with these rubrics and the way they have allowed students to know the expectations prior to turning assignment in, as well as, giving them specific feedback at grading time.
