📦 What’s Included?

You will receive one comprehensive Excel file containing 9 individual rubrics (in .csv format for easy TPT upload and viewing), including:

  1. Traditional SAE Rubric (The Big Picture): A comprehensive 100-point rubric for assessing a student's full Immersion/Traditional SAE record book (for students who progress beyond Foundational SAE). It evaluates Record Keeping Accuracy, Job & Responsibilities, Skills Learned/Learning Objectives, Journaling Consistency, and Other documentation (e.g., Resume, financials).
  2. Foundational SAE Rubrics (Course-Specific): Seven 100-point rubrics, one for each course's Foundational SAE activities:
  • Intro to Ag (Semester 1)
  • Intro to Ag (Semester 2)
  • Animal Science
  • Plant Science
  • Advanced Animal Science
  • Horticulture
  • Ag Business Management
  • Basic Maintenance

  1. Core Components Assessed in all Foundational Rubrics (20 points per area):
  • Career Exploration & Planning: (e.g., Ag Explorer Quiz, College/Career Fair Follow-up, Individual Ag Teacher Meeting)
  • Employability Skills for College & Career Readiness: (e.g., Resume, Individualized Learning Plan/Competencies, Job Application)
  • Personal Financial Management & Planning: (e.g., Monopoly Project, Personal Budget, College Financial Plan)
  • Workplace Safety: (e.g., Safety Equipment Project, Shop Safety Test, Safety Lesson for Elementary Students)
  • Agriculture Literacy: (e.g., Ag Discovery/Invention Project, Ag Policy Essay, Farm Bill Project)
  • TEAM-BASED Challenge (Intro to Ag S2 only): Farm Forward Project Rubric is included within the S2 sheet.

🔗 How the Rubrics Relate to the "SAE for All Plan" Document

These rubrics are the direct assessment tools for the activities described in the original "TPT - SAE for All Plan" document.

  • The Plan is the What and the How: The plan outlines what Foundational SAE activities students must complete in each agriculture course and provides the logistical instructions for students to log these activities in AET.
  • The Rubrics are the Assessment: Each rubric corresponds to a set of activities in the plan, clearly defining the "20-15 point" (excellent) criteria for successful completion. For example, the Intro to Ag S1 Rubric assesses the Ag Explorer Quiz journal, the Individualized Learning Plan, the Monopoly project, and the Safety Equipment project—all of which are required activities in the Intro to Ag S1 section of the plan.

Use this bundle alongside the plan to create a seamlessly integrated and assessed Foundational SAE program in your classroom!

Construct an explanation based on evidence for how the availability of natural resources, occurrence of natural hazards, and changes in climate have influenced human activity. Examples of key natural resources include access to fresh water (such as rivers, lakes, and groundwater), regions of fertile soils such as river deltas, and high concentrations of minerals and fossil fuels. Examples of natural hazards can be from interior processes (such as volcanic eruptions and earthquakes), surface processes (such as tsunamis, mass wasting and soil erosion), and severe weather (such as hurricanes, floods, and droughts). Examples of the results of changes in climate that can affect populations or drive mass migrations include changes to sea level, regional patterns of temperature and precipitation, and the types of crops and livestock that can be raised.
