This is an 8-page booklet made with just two sheets, for students to learn the most important facts about Sally Ride.

This is an excellent way to integrate science with language arts, teaching informational text features such as photographs, titles, and timelines.

On each page, the students write a missing word about the life and legacy of Sally Ride. The last page is for students to write the dates of Sally Ride's timeline.

Depending on the class, instruct students to work in pairs or individually to create the booklet.

To save time, consider making the booklets in advance.

Students paste the booklet inside the journal by gluing only its spine and pressing it into the crease.

All instructions and answer keys are included.
