Description

It's a bird, it's a plane, it's... a totally cool way to make a simple superhero game in Scratch! Would you like to help your students make their own game in Scratch? Well look no further! This COMPLETE resource will help both you and your students create a Cyber Superhero game from scratch using Scratch.

This unit resource includes:

  • 35+ page Google Slide step-by-step tutorial
  • 8 YouTube instructional videos
  • Detailed pictures of scripts & code blocks
  • A Google Doc worksheet & rubric
  • Project syllabus/agenda
  • Example finished game link

Students will learn to:

  • Develop & create an original cyber superhero
  • Design & make their own characters & levels
  • Make their characters move and interact with each other
  • Build beginner & intermediate scripts / coding

This project engages students in creating their own hero & game. I have taught this unit with 5th grade, but it can certainly be adapted for grades 3 through 8. It's awesome to see students create their own superhero and then learn how to code a game around it! It certainly is a whole lot of fun and educational at the same time.

This project also works well with my other plans Online, Internet & Computer Safety and Cyber Superhero Comic Book Cover Project. And check out my Bundle of all 3 Projects where you can save 20% off!

If you find any errors or have a question, please go to the question tab at the top of the page and ask away. I'll get back to you in a timely fashion; your feedback is always welcome.

And please consider following me and leaving a review; when you do, you earn TPT credits for future purchases.

From one teacher to another- THANK YOU!
