A fun and interactive PowerPoint resource exploring why Money Matters for students working at Entry Level through contextualised challenges that connect the learning to the world of work.
The resource includes 9 challenges, each corresponding to a different career, and each linking to the Entry Level Qualification skills of Recognising Coins & Notes and Solving Mathematical Problems.
The learning outcomes for this resource include:
- helps students develop the functional skills that they will need in for their future
- allows students to understand a range of real world situations in which understanding money may be used to reinforce its importance
- enables students to learn more about a variety of different careers within the world of work
- interactive nature of the challenges also help develop other key skills such as teamworking, communication, public speaking etc.
The activity is designed to last 30 minutes and the content is primarily written for students working towards their Entry Level Qualification in Maths.

The challenges can be completed by students either independently or working in teams.
The resource is fully editable in PowerPoint format so you can tailor the challenges to the specific needs of your pupils.
US Guidance

However, we are confident these should not detract from the value of using the resource with students in the US and each resource is fully editable should you wish to make any amendments.
