Description
Teach your students all about shadows using these task cards! The task cards challenge your students with questions about shadow length and direction, Earth's rotation, sunrise and sunset, time zones, and more! Included on several task cards are images of the time zones in the United States and a diagram of Earth showing sunrise. I like to use these as test review!
These task cards work well to help teach the standard:
Analyze data and represent with graphs to reveal patterns of daily changes in length and direction of shadows, day and night, and the seasonal appearance of some stars in the night sky (e.g., shadows and the position and motion of Earth with respect to the sun, visibility of select stars only in particular months)
