Description

This is a sample of S'More Logic Puzzles.

This is a great hands-on math activity to help students with problem solving strategies. These logic puzzles begin very easy to solve, but increase in difficulty as you move through the task cards. This is mostly black and white, with small coffee cup clip-art.

The original product includes 26 task cards; 4 different levels, and 2 ultimate challenges. It also included 3 different recording sheets, as well as an answer page.

This is great to push students to think of problems in different ways. And to preserver with problem solving. It is a wonderful resource to use in small groups or during independent centers.

Apply properties of operations as strategies to add and subtract. If 8 + 3 = 11 is known, then 3 + 8 = 11 is also known. (Commutative property of addition.) To add 2 + 6 + 4, the second two numbers can be added to make a ten, so 2 + 6 + 4 = 2 + 10 = 12. (Associative property of addition.)
Fluently add and subtract within 20 using mental strategies. By end of Grade 2, know from memory all sums of two one-digit numbers.
