"This was a literal blast! My students this year struggled with surface area, and this project was a great cross curricular activity (space/science), and they enjoyed having a hands on activity that helped reinforce surface area."

This was a super engaging project for my students. I wish there was some slides that showed the kids how to make a net. But my kids really liked building their rocketship.

Hi Jilll,

Thank you so much for taking the time to leave a review! I am so happy that you and your students liked the product. It's best to use this product as a culminating activity, after teaching students how to identify and build different nets (e.g., 3D models or YouTube videos) before having them create their own. Hope that helps!

Great project to end our year

Met expectations
Great value
This was a great project that my Grade 6 students were engaged in. I taught a 6/7 split and was able to tweak the expectations for my Grade 7 so that they created a rocket using a cylinder which is part of their math expectations. Everyone loved the project and we were able to also make literacy and Science (Gr. 6 Space) tie-ins as well.
