What are the challenges?
In Building Cars students will have specific supplies and must design a car that rolls. They must work together to use the supplies in a creative way. Their thinking will truly be tested as they encounter problems to solve.
In Building Boats your students will use simple supplies you probably already have on hand and they will choose which materials they wish to use. To make this even more challenging students have a materials spending budget and must stay within it while building their boat.
In Building a Marble Maze students will design a maze through which a marble can travel. They will fold and bend paper or cardboard into the maze paths and then try their invention repeatedly. Your students will love this one!
What is included?
For each of the three challenges you will receive:
- a lesson guide that provides a materials list and then step-by-step procedures to follow to make this a great experience
- Helpful Hints that give ideas of specific things to think about while using this package
- editable lab sheets
- sample answer sheets from students
