Description

Students can use this chart to record examples of physical and chemical changes in matter while listening to the story Pancakes, Pancakes! by Eric Carle.

Even BIG kids like a read aloud sometimes. And this one gets them THINKING while they are listening. It's a win-win!

This could also be used at a science center or for early finishers. Students could read the book and fill out the chart independently or with a partner.

These worksheets are perfect for review! They're very simple that little teacher engagement is required. I use them at the end of a lesson to assess my student's knowledge. It’s a great way to get a quick snapshot of their understanding.

We started our unit on matter and had already made pancakes as an example of physical and chemical changes and I was looking for a fun way to check student understanding when I found this resource. This was exactly what I needed! The idea to use the book "Pancakes, Pancakes" by Eric Carle was fun and the printable t-chart helped my students organize their thoughts, thank you for the great resource.
