Challenge your students to build a 3 foot tall tower from glue and toothpicks. This takes a lot of patience, some research, and some wax paper or plastic wrap for work space. Teams of 2-4 compete in this project.

This page is a printable rubric and lesson plan to use, explaining the quiz and test grades associated with the project. Adjust as needed for your class!

Two copies per page, to save you paper, and they fit great in journals or glued into notebooks!

this activity was terrific...! My students just loved this building exercise. The lesson plan was very simple to understand and very student friendly. I loved the rubric for this lesson. my students worked in groups and challenged each other with this activity. It was exciting to see the end product for my students as well as myself. thank you so much.
