If you would like to purchase the 100% EDITABLE version of this product, click here! Great for differentiation!

Help create future engineers!

Sold separately, each project costs $2.00. This bundle of 3 projects costs $3.00 saving you 50% off each project.

This STEM Project Bundle features 3 hands-on, printable resources, that will challenge your students for years to come. When studying forces in Science we always build Spaghetti Stick Bridges and do the Egg Drop Challenge. Building Robots is the third challenge I give to students. Each year I am reminded how much students get out of creating things with their hands. Happy building!

1) Egg Drop Challenge - STEM

This fantastic resource guides students through the process of researching, designing, and building their own device that keeps a raw chicken egg intact after being dropped from a height. Clear and informative instructions are included along with example designs, solutions, and scientific explanations! I do this project every year when we study forces in Science. My students absolutely love it!

This resource can be used as a contest where students are challenged to build the smallest or lightest device possible. Certificates for Successful Landing, Smallest Device, and Lightest Device are included. A 3-page Student Write-up Booklet is also included. Can be done individually or in pairs.

Package Includes:

- Rationale

- Instructions

- Materials Needed

- Procedure (Research, Design, Construction, Testing)

- Scientific Explanation

- Solutions to the Challenge

- Example Designs

- Student Research Page

- Student Design Page

- Student Write-up Booklet (3 Pages)

- Successful Landing Certificate

- Smallest Device Certificate

- Lightest Device Certificate

2) Robot Maker - STEM

This is such a fun and engaging project. Students are asked to design and construct their own robots using recyclables and household materials. Students learn not only how to research, design and construct a robot, they also learn the importance of repurposing seemingly useless materials to create something new.

Package Includes:

- Rationale

- Step by Step Instructions

- Research Notes Page

- Practice Design Page

- Tips and Tricks

- 3 Extension Activities/Challenges

3) Spaghetti Stick Bridges - STEM

Engage your students in researching, designing and constructing their own bridges!

This resource guides students through the process of researching, designing, and building their own bridge out of spaghetti sticks. Clear and informative instructions are included along with design templates, tips and tricks! I do this project every year when we study forces in Science. My students absolutely love it!

This resource is designed as a Contest (but doesn't have to be done as such) where students are challenged to build the strongest bridge possible. All the instructions are included from research to testing. Certificates for Strongest Bridge and Most Innovative Design are included along with a 4 page Student Write-up Booklet. Can be done individually or in pairs.

Package Includes:

- Rationale

- Instructions

- Materials Needed

- Procedure (Research, Design, Construction, Testing)

- Bridge Design Ideas

- Student Research Page

- Student Design Page

- Student Design Grid Paper (size: 11'' x 17'')

- Strongest Bridge Certificate

- Most Innovative Design Certificate

- Student Write-up Booklet (4 pages)

Project-Based Learning (PBL) is a student-centered pedagogy in which students are challenged to actively learn about a subject for an extended period of time. It is a form of active learning or inquiry-based learning. Project-Based Learning is in contrast to paper-based, rote memorization, or teacher-led instruction that presents established facts. Please be aware of what you are purchasing.
