I teach in a multi-graded self-contained classroom for middle school aged students grades 6-9 who often arrive with significant gaps/learning disabilities and struggle to engage in content or school in general. I used the UNESCO Project as their first major independent project and appreciated that the resource was scaffolded enough to allow students at multiple skill levels to complete some, or all, of the project with minimal adult support.
