Before jumping into STEM and STEAM activities, make sure your students understand what STEM is all about! This lapbook is a kid-friendly, colorful, fun resource for introducing STEM or STEAM. Two versions of the lapbook are included so that it can be customized for your needs.
Students will be introduced to the STEM (or STEAM) acronym, common STEM vocabulary (such as prototype, evaluate, modify, etc.), the engineering design process, criteria and constraints, how to "think outside the box", and accountable talk for collaborating with their peers. Best of all, when the lapbook is completed, it becomes a resource students can refer back to time and again, or share with their parents and families.
